On the nature reserve we saw the fascinating bi-pass for salmon, trout and eels to get up the river where the weir built on the river in industrial times blocked their way. Trout fry have recently been seen in the diversion only recently finished. Let's hope salmon soon make it that way.
Also on the nature reserve was a pond. A great place to find tadpoles, sticklebacks, whirligigs and many many more invertebrates. Made me acknowledge the good work done in making sure good water comes from sewage treatment.
